Recognizing the potential of the DADSS technology to save lives by preventing drunk driving, in late 2016 Virginia became the first state to join the Driven to Protect Initiative through its Department of Motor Vehicles’ Highway Safety Office. Through this Program, Virginians will get an early look at the progress being made and drivers will have the opportunity to provide input that will help improve the DADSS technology before it becomes widely available.
